I'm going to start off by saying that today was one of the best days I've had in awhile, and in my entire lifetime (That's 18 years, just so you know!). I realize how great my best friends really are. For the past few weeks I've felt crappy, due to living in this house and the annoying parents but today really helped. Jamie and Kathy came over today and we hung out around my pool and house. It was SO much fun. I've hadn't laughed that much in months, possibly years. It opened my eyes to how lucky I am to have such great friends and how important they really are in my life. I've had my fair share of friends come and go through the years, but these two have remained constant. I know I can count on them for anything, anytime I might need them. I'm so glad we're all going to the same college, that way we can make more memories and fun times than we already have. Speaking of college, it's less than a month away (August 22nd to be exact) and I could not be more indifferent in my emotions towards it. Part of me is so glad to get away from this town and my parents and to see what is out there, relationship wise and what not. Yet another part is scared to death of it. What if this new found freedom is too much to handle? What if I get too nervous about the whole experience and I want to come home? Let's hope it doesn't come to that, ever! For now though, I'm going to revel in the blessings of my great friends, put on a brave face, and get ready to tackle this new world head on!
